Sales Account Manager

Currently seeking a Sales Account Manager to join a company celebrating over thirty years of providing excellent service to their customers and sales in excess of $1 billion annually. This is a successful and growing division of an established wholesale distributor in the El Segundo area. Account Manager will be responsible for developing relationships with clientele in the following industries nationwide: brand name apparel, household, and sporting goods.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and cultivation of relationships with current and prospective clientele
  • Participate in the evaluation of marketing opportunities for products and services
  • Assist in determining which new or existing products should be presented to clients
  • Responsible for all account management services including:
    • Direct sales
    • Sales forecasting
    • Management of financial program
    • Keeping accounts current
    • Management of operational programs

Requirements:
  • Must be effective in all aspects of sales and account maintenance
  • Experienced in networking, proposal generation, and sales presentations
  • Proven success in executing sales strategies and closing new business
  • Self-starter who takes ownership, thinks outside the box, and solves problems
  • Money motivated.   Base + commission compensation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in retail or wholesale sales a plus
  • Knowledge of sports apparel and branded products is helpful
  • Bachelor’ s Degree preferred
