Account Manager
Account Managers partner with Account Director to lead accounts. The Account Manager is responsible for collaborating with teammates to craft the narratives, drive strategies, and make the recommendations that fuel client success. They provide client counsel and oversee the day-to-day operations of account teams.

The Account Manager has demonstrated experience conceptualizing, building and executing communications programs that align with client objectives and produce measurable results, with proven expertise in content creation and media relations. This role provides an opportunity to grow leadership skills and expand strategic capabilities through more direct client and team management, as well as an active and accountable role in agency operations.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Full participation in all aspects of running an account: strategic planning, media relations, writing releases and pitches, coordinating reports, and managing team time against budgets

  • Drive projects forward independently, relying on AD/VP for strategic guidance, final approvals

  • Proactive day-to-day engagement to ensure client objective are moving forward, with the responsibility of internally escalating issues

  • Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, ensuring deadline and time allocation adherence by anticipating challenges

  • Manage 2-3 client accounts with direct responsibility for day-to-day client communications

  • Direct supervision of 2-3 ACs

  • Maintain long-term vision that elevates tactics to strategic goals

  • Proactively pitch high-level media angles that result in coverage

  • Proactively anticipate and address client needs, and provide strategic guidance

  • Lead client calls and guide team participation

  • Oversee internal and external reporting processes


  • 4+ years experience in PR or comms, with at least two years in a PR agency setting

  • Strong network of at least 10 media contacts across business and technology sectors

  • Experienced in managing and working on a diverse range of technology accounts

  • Ability to generate a plan for a campaign or an entire PR program

  • Strategic, analytical thinker with the initiative to see a program through from start to finish

  • Collaborative approach to leading teams and achieving results

  • Strong grasp, and creative ability, to leverage social media channels to engage influencers and amplify results
