Development Coordinator

Oakland, CA

Employment Type: Direct Hire Position: Nonprofit Social Services Branch: San Francisco

The Development Coordinator will help build a new best-in-class database infrastructure, develop internal policies, and ensure the highest level of team fidelity. The Development Coordinator will also oversee all database maintenance, analysis, reporting, and special projects.

The position is with a largely known social services nonprofit organization located in the East Bay. This role will report directly to the Sr. Database Manager and work in conjunction with the organization’s development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Sr. Database Manager in all functions of database management: reporting and clean up

  • Maintain database integrity and accuracy

  • Process contributions and relationship notes received through all giving mechanisms

  • Assist in maintenance of department dashboard for analysis, tracking metrics, fundraising and

    financial reporting

  • Manage and coordinate master mailings and blast lists for the organization

  • Manage timely acknowledgment process for all multi-entity donations

  • Ensure pertinent information regarding Major Gifts and events contacts and prospects is

    entered into the database

  • Create and maintain standard queries and reports

  • Work with the Finance Team to reconcile projected revenue with actuals

Requirements: 

  • 2+ years of office experience with at least 1+ year of database management experience
  • Strong quantitative analysis and analytical skills
  • Proficient with Excel, Keynote, and Google Dogs
  • Experience working within a structured development department
  • Persistent and optimistic attitude
  • Strong organizational and writing skill
