Wollborg Michelson is assisting a San Francisco law firm with their search for a Legal Admin or Legal Secretary. This position is primarily going to be responsible for sitting at the front to help direct traffic flow. Preference is for a paralegal that can also support attorneys, calendaring, keeping track of court conferences as well as some light accounting/data entry. There are 10 attorneys in this office.
This position provides direct support to the firm’s President, office Administrator, and attorneys.
Candidates should also have a thorough knowledge of legal terminology, legal principles, practices and research techniques. Candidates are expected to be able to assist the legal team with calendaring, court filings, online legal research, document productions, and preparing shell documents for pleadings, discovery, motions and other documents as needed. This role requires an individual to be able to efficiently multi-task, be detail and results-oriented, and have excellent organization and time management skills. The person must have good interpersonal skills, be punctual and reliable.
The assignment will be 2-4 weeks (while the company determines long-term need), but if the person really shines there is a possibility of conversion.
