Senior Superintendent

Technical Skills
  • Develop, maintain and enforce a project site logistics and temporary facilities plan
  • Implement, maintain and enforce project site safety programs
  • Coordinate and manage all material deliveries and subcontracts
  • Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of the scope of work for subcontractors and bid packages
  • Provide input to the Project Manager on field activities that impact the Change Order process
  • Develop schedules for the successful start-up and turnover of all systems to the client
  • Implement SWPPP measures and documentation
  • Assist the Project Manager with the preparation of the Project Status Report (PSR)
  • Possess knowledge of all documents associated with the project including plans, specifications, contract, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings and submittals
  • Maintain a complete and accurate set of working documents and As-Builts
  • Provide technical assistance to all members of the project team
  • Coordinate all field inspections and testing  Management Skills
  • Develop, implement, maintain and enforce a project-specific quality control program to include all subcontractors
  • Monitor all job site control reporting measures
  • Conduct weekly coordination meetings
  • Prepare and maintain Master Schedule
  • Prepare and maintain four-week look ahead schedules
  • Track critical material deliveries
  • Coordinate the timely completion of all punch lists and work completion lists
  • Document all actions dealing with actual or possible claims/legal action
  • Ensure that all requirements of insurance, labor relations, and EEO are met
  • Prepare and submit time sheets pertaining to CWD labor force
  • Oversee the training and mentoring of all assigned field staff
  • Conduct performance reviews on selected field staff
  • Assist the Project Manager in the development of the General Conditions budget
  • Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of subcontract Exhibit “ C”

Interpersonal Skills
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all (client, inspectors, architect, subcontractors, project team, various CWD departments)
  • Motivate and build teamwork/morale in the project team
  • Promote CWD “ Values” with the project team, client and subcontractors
  • Extensive involvement in the CWD training program
  • Mentor, coach and train as necessary to help subordinates achieve their career objectives


  • Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience in a related field or minimum of 10-15 years of project field experience
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) Proficiency with P6 and Prolog applications
  • Effective written and verbal language communication skills Well developed and proven negotiating skills
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of construction delivery systems, the construction administration processes, building trades, technical aspects of construction including means and methods, materials, building systems, planning, scheduling and estimating
  • Completion of OSHA Ten-Hour Safety Course First Aid/CPR certified
