Position Overview: As a Sales Representative focused on new business development, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth for our staffing company by identifying and engaging prospective clients, understanding their hiring needs, and promoting our services to meet those needs effectively. You will leverage your sales expertise, communication skills, and industry knowledge to build strong relationships and generate new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and cold call potential clients to introduce our staffing services and establish rapport.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand clients' staffing requirements and challenges.
- Develop and present tailored staffing solutions that align with clients' objectives and business goals.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities through proactive outreach and follow-up.
- Collaborate with the recruitment team to ensure a seamless transition from client engagement to candidate placement.
- Negotiate terms of service agreements, including pricing, contract terms, and service level agreements.
- Provide ongoing support and account management to existing clients to foster long-term relationships and repeat business.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and revenue forecasts in our Staffing BackBone CRM system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in inside sales or business development roles, preferably in the staffing industry or a related field.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques, with the ability to effectively prospect, qualify leads, and close deals.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions and build rapport with clients.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a high level of initiative and resilience.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events, as needed.
- Previous experience working in a staffing agency or recruiting firm is a plus.

As Wollborg Michelson Recruiting’s Chief Sales Officer, Matt Guerrero leads the Regional sales team and handles key accounts. Guerrero started his career at Wollborg Michelson Recruiting 9 years ago as the Sales Manager for the Sonoma territory and grew into the Branch Manager position overseeing Sonoma County and Marin County. He was then promoted to Regional Sales Manager in 2011 and is now responsible for the sales growth in multiple territories. His job includes researching hiring trends and making critical decisions on service offerings that will best serve clients and prospects.
Matt’s extraordinary work ethic has been a major contributor to the company’s success. Not surprisingly, he doesn’t have much time to reflect on how far they’ve come in the last 9 years; rather he focuses on what’s next and how to make the company continually better.
