Job Title: Full Cycle Accounting and Finance Recruiter with Business Development Focus

Position Overview: The Full Cycle Accounting and Finance Recruiter will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to placing them in suitable roles within our clients' organizations. In addition to traditional recruitment duties, this role will emphasize business development activities aimed at acquiring new clients, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our presence in the accounting and finance sector.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hiring managers and clients to understand their staffing needs and develop customized recruitment strategies.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for various accounting and finance roles, including but not limited to financial analysts, accountants, auditors, and CFOs.
- Conduct thorough candidate assessments to evaluate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, candidate sourcing, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates through proactive sourcing efforts, networking, and referrals.
- Develop and nurture relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and staffing requirements.
- Identify new business opportunities and lead generation sources through targeted market research and industry analysis.
- Generate leads and secure new client accounts through cold calling, networking events, client meetings, and presentations.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with clients, ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability targets.
- Provide ongoing support and account management to existing clients, fostering long-term relationships and driving repeat business.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth and differentiation.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and candidate placements in the CRM system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a full cycle recruiter, preferably with a focus on accounting and finance roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles, terminology, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and candidates.
- Demonstrated ability to drive business development initiatives and achieve sales targets.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Previous experience working in a staffing agency or recruiting firm is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or SHRM-CP are a plus.

As Wollborg Michelson Recruiting’s Chief Sales Officer, Matt Guerrero leads the Regional sales team and handles key accounts. Guerrero started his career at Wollborg Michelson Recruiting 9 years ago as the Sales Manager for the Sonoma territory and grew into the Branch Manager position overseeing Sonoma County and Marin County. He was then promoted to Regional Sales Manager in 2011 and is now responsible for the sales growth in multiple territories. His job includes researching hiring trends and making critical decisions on service offerings that will best serve clients and prospects.
Matt’s extraordinary work ethic has been a major contributor to the company’s success. Not surprisingly, he doesn’t have much time to reflect on how far they’ve come in the last 9 years; rather he focuses on what’s next and how to make the company continually better.
