Accountant


Job Summary

The Accountant performs mid-level to complex accounting functions in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This role participates in monthly close activities, daily accounting tasks, and prepares internal financial reports.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post simple to moderate journal entries.
  • Generate internal financial performance reports and narratives and validate data output.
  • Perform account reconciliations and analyze variances, including key drivers and trends.
  • Process and report transactions in accordance with GAAP.
  • Participate in month-end processes.
  • Identify and research issues and proactively propose solutions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience with a bachelor s degree.
  • Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and ERP software (such as Oracle Financial Cloud).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate work and communicate across functions and levels in the organization.
  • Critical thinking and sound judgment in resolving accounting issues.

Summary Qualification
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in GAAP and standard accounting practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP accounting systems.
  • Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports.
