Details:
- Onsite in Irvine, CA
- Potential temp to hire
- Pay rate: $46/hour
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Month end closing, conduct quarterly reviews with a CPA, prepare footnotes for publishing closing results, perform audits, and possess a strong foundation in general accounting.
- Revenue and Profitability Analysis
- Create reports using Power BI or SQL queries
- Experience working in Accounting at Mid to Large companies
Description:
- The Assistant Manager, Accounting position is mainly responsible for preparing financial statements and financial reporting packages, as well as responding to quarterly and yearly auditing.
- The position also requires the management and monitoring of balance sheets accounts, P&L accounts, and conducting financial analyses.
- Prepare stand alone and consolidated financial statement in accordance with GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
- Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including the month-end closing process and financial statement
- Manage balance sheet account schedules and conduct reconciliations for open balances
- Analyze financial statement results and identify areas for improvement or investigation
- Manage inter-company accounting transactions and reconciliation
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the annual audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditor requests
- Ensure compliance with all audit requirements and maintain documentation for audit findings
- Work closely with external auditors to provide information and support throughout the audit process
- Develop and maintain documentation to support compliance with SOX regulations
- Implement and monitor controls to ensure compliance with SOX regulations
- Work with internal and external auditors to provide documentation and support for SOX audits
- Manage fixed asset and lease accounting transactions and reconciliations
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize fixed asset and lease accounting processes and improve efficiency
- Participate in the implementation of new accounting software or system upgrades
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support the accounting function and the overall goals of the organization
- Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation and reports
- Manage a team of accounting professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Maintain General ledger accounts in ERP system
- Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility
- Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes
Skills/Experience:
- BA Degree
- 6+ years of experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient PC skills - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, SAP, database management systems
- Intermediate level Excel knowledge required
- Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems
- Accounting knowledge and experience
