Developer II
Job Summary
The Developer is responsible for developing, documenting, and communicating complex business requirements to support enterprise information initiatives. This role involves system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation throughout all phases of the development lifecycle.
Job Duties
- Contribute to and support strategic and operational planning, including total quality management.
- Develop and implement processes for accurate and effective workflow distribution.
- Provide technical expertise on subsystems and performance-related systems.
- Enhance and apply programming analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and documentation.
- Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify project objectives.
- Use standard application design principles to create efficient and reusable code.
- Develop applications and deliverables aligned with enterprise standards.
- Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
- Create testable code and develop test protocols or plans, reviewing revisions and results.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- In lieu of a degree, at least five (5) years of equivalent experience.
- Three (3) years of direct experience in developing, documenting, and communicating complex business requirements.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Experience with COBOL, IBM COBOL, and Job Control Language (JCL).
- Familiarity with IBM Mainframes and Mainframe Legacy Systems.
- .NET Software Development and .NET Windows Applications.
- Knowledge of IBM DB2 SQL, SQL Databases, and Database Queries.
- Experience with Testing Methodology, Software Testing Tools, and System Integration Testing (SIT).
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, balance priorities, and manage deadlines.
