Director Analytics and Risk Consumer Lending


Job SummaryEfficiently manage risk and return strategies for consumer lending programs to meet member financial needs, drive sustainable growth, and ensure financial stability. Provide insights into product development and risk management to improve financial health.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to assess, manage, and mitigate risks such as credit, fraud, and retention for consumer lending products by collaborating with product management, operations, and finance teams.
  • Oversee customer segmentation and lifetime value analysis to enhance acquisition, usage, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Design, develop, and present risk/return data and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Identify organizational risks through continuous monitoring of key metrics and portfolio trends.
  • Leverage technology to streamline and automate risk processes, thereby improving member experience.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to refine risk operations.
  • Ensure management of product risk complies with applicable industry regulations.
  • Guide, mentor, and provide leadership to analytics and risk associates.
  • Develop action plans for risk management committees and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Represent the organization in industry associations and external communications.
  • Plan, organize, and manage budgetary activities for direct reporting departments.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and establish control activities to mitigate risks.

Requirements
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in operating computer systems and analytical tools.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, credit analysis, and regulatory compliance practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for business as needed.

Summary Qualification
  • Bachelor s degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in analytics and risk management with an emphasis on retail lending.

Skill
  • Strategic thinking and effective risk strategy implementation.
  • Proficiency in analytical and data manipulation tools such as SAS, R, SQL, and Python.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Strong project management abilities with a track record of delivering results in dynamic environments.
