Health Plan Benefits Analyst
Job Summary
The Marketing Assistant/Analyst supports employer group sales partners with group renewals, new group implementations, and requests for proposals (RFPs) related to custom medical and pharmacy health plans. This role focuses on creating compliant custom plan designs, generating member-facing documents, and acting as a subject matter expert on benefit and plan offerings while supporting business production metrics.
Responsibilities
- Support employer group sales partners with group renewals, new group implementations, and RFPs for custom medical and pharmacy health plans.
- Create custom medical and pharmacy plans and generate member-facing documents in accordance with federal and state regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on benefit and plan offerings for key stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally on complex plan designs and related activities that support business metrics and production goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of healthcare product experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with employer group health plans, including custom plan designs.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with health plan product systems.
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated meticulous attention to data accuracy and error detection.
- Minimum 2 years of time management and organizational skills managing multiple tasks.
- Minimum 2 years of strong analytical and problem-solving experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook/Teams, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of healthcare products and employer group health plans.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling plan and member data.
- Effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities for complex plan design and business needs.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency with standard office and collaboration software tools.
Summary Qualification
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
- 3+ years of healthcare product experience, including plan design exposure.
- 2+ years working with employer group custom health plan designs and product systems.
- Demonstrated track record of accuracy, organization, and meeting production targets.
- Experienced in supporting sales, product, and account management teams in a healthcare setting.
