Position: Human Resources

Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist provides compliance, recruiting, benefits, and administrative support to the Human Resources Department and the organization. The ideal candidate will have Human Resources experience supporting a fast-paced department as well as the ability to perform at a highly organized and analytical level, with attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.


  • Maintains HR/Benefits data in human resources information system (HRIS), creates and distributes reports as necessary
  • Reviews job description updates for accuracy and compliance
  • Reviews trimester evaluations to ensure documentation is clear and consistent; provides feedback to leadership on areas that need to be revised
  • Initiate workers’ compensation claims and subsequent administrative documentation
  • Oversee leave of absence administration, interactive process and reasonable accommodations
  • Responsible for Covid consults, vaccination tracking/testing and documentation
  • Assist with the employee and contractor recruitment and onboarding process
  • Assist with the employee and contractor recruitment and onboarding process
  • Assist with employee termination process
  • Instrumental in ensuring the Human Resources Department is compliant with all required audits
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • May perform other duties as assigned


  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment-related laws and regulations for California and Nevada
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to take initiative and seek solutions independently
  • Highly organized and resourceful with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems
  • Ability to handle data confidentiality 



  • Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate work experience
  • A minimum of 4 years Human Resource experience, and strong knowledge of Human Resource processes and best practices


  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification
  • A background in healthcare a PLUS!
