Job Summary

 

The Adobe Experience Manager Content Architect is responsible for designing and implementing content architectures, content fragment models, and metadata strategies for headless AEM implementations. This role combines technical and strategic skills to ensure digital content structures are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with user experience and digital marketing objectives.



Responsibilities


  • Design, define, and implement Content Fragment Models and templates for headless AEM projects in collaboration with development and engineering teams.

  • Map business requirements to data structures and user experience components, ensuring alignment with final interface designs.

  • Define metadata schemas and tagging strategies to support personalization, findability, and content reusability.

  • Work closely with product management, project management, and content authors to define effective, intuitive content structures.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on AEM architecture, including components, workflows, integrations, and headless capabilities.

  • Develop and guide digital content management strategies, including content tagging and digital asset repository management.

  • Advocate for usability, findability, labeling, editorial voice, brand consistency, and user-centered content strategy, including SEO best practices.

  • Collaborate with digital marketing, product, UX, and engineering teams to support digital content management modernization initiatives.

  • Support the migration of content fragments from code (such as Angular) into AEM models and structures.

  • Occasionally support content authoring and publishing activities within AEM.

  • Use data and metrics to validate assumptions, develop hypotheses, and improve content structures and strategies.

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to unpack business requirements and translate them into content models.




Requirements


  • Approximately 3 years of experience managing digital content in an enterprise environment.

  • Demonstrated experience with Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service, especially its headless capabilities.

  • Proven ability to connect content structure to user experience design and digital marketing principles.

  • Experience with digital asset repository management, including asset migration and metadata management.

  • Intermediate HTML and CSS skills and experience creating and editing websites using an enterprise CMS and DAM.

  • Strong understanding of web usability, findability, site management, and application of metadata for findability and reuse.

  • Ability to independently develop, implement, and evaluate creative marketing and content plans.

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical audiences and cross-functional teams.

  • Understanding of web content architecture and SEO best practices.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and quickly learn new products and business contexts.

  • A BA/BS in a related field such as marketing or business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with AEMaaCS, Jira, Confluence, and Figma.

  • Portfolio showcasing relevant AEM projects and content models.

  • Healthcare experience is not required.

  • WordPress-only experience does not qualify as relevant experience.

  • Adobe Experience Manager (including headless and AEM as a Cloud Service).

  • Content modeling, content fragments, and headless content delivery.

  • Digital asset repository and metadata management.

  • HTML and CSS for web content implementation.

  • Web usability, information architecture, and findability.

  • SEO and user-centered content strategy.

  • Analytical skills and use of data to inform content decisions.

  • Tools: AEMaaCS, Jira, Confluence, Figma.




Summary Qualification


  • 3+ years of experience managing digital content in an enterprise environment.

  • Strong expertise with Adobe Experience Manager and headless content architectures.

  • Track record of designing scalable content models, metadata schemas, and tagging strategies.

  • Proven ability to translate business and UX requirements into effective content structures.

  • Intermediate front-end skills (HTML/CSS) supporting CMS-based authoring and publishing.

  • Experience with digital asset repositories, content migration, and metadata governance.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Bachelor s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
