Pharmacist
Job Summary

The Pharmacist applies clinical expertise in drug utilization reviews, formulary management, and quality patient care. This role supports internal departments by ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while providing guidance to team members and maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities
  • Applies clinical knowledge of drugs to perform utilization reviews.
  • Provides clear and concise communications.
  • Understands drug formulary management to promote cost savings.
  • Delivers quality service to members and providers.
  • Offers pharmaceutical expertise to internal departments.
  • Meets departmental goals for both quantity and quality reviews.
  • Ensures compliance with laws and regulations in utilization management.
  • Exemplifies the organization’s code of conduct and reputation.
  • Supports and guides less experienced team members.
  • Resolves complex issues and problems effectively.
  • Adheres strictly to organizational policies and applicable laws.

Requirements
  • Current and unrestricted Pharmacist License.
  • 2-4 years’experience in prior authorization review.
  • PharmD degree required.

Skill
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with claims processing vendors or prior authorization interfaces.

Summary Qualification
  • PharmD degree.
  • Current and unrestricted Pharmacist License.
  • 2-4 years’experience in prior authorization review.
