Job Description
Position Purpose
The Department Specialist in Supply Chain Finance - Vendor Compliance is responsible for managing and processing correspondence related to the Vendor Compliance program. This program addresses compliance charges for vendor performance issues, focusing on on-time delivery, purchase order fill rates, and pallet quality. The role serves as a primary contact for vendors and coordinates communication between vendors and the company, ensuring timely processing of claims and paybacks.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Address vendor compliance requests and inquiries.
- Research and resolve vendor compliance issues.
- Route payback requests to appropriate parties and ensure timely follow-up.
- Maintain turnaround times for vendor requests and monitor aging payback requests.
- Log information in the AVISS system.
- Inform management of trends and challenges in the Vendor Compliance program.
- Respond to inquiries within the area of responsibility.
- Collect data for special projects or reports.
- Update and verify information and reports.
- Prepare form letters for customer issues, such as payback requests.
- Review data and make decisions within defined guidelines.
- Prioritize documents to determine work or actions needed.
- Create and maintain complex records.
- Ensure accuracy in all work.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: 3 years in an office environment as an administrative assistant or project coordinator.
- Familiarity with onsite ticketing systems is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel; ability to learn company systems.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in keyboarding.
